Successfully completed the Senior Secondary School Education and offered subjects such as: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
Content
The qualification offers an introduction to a career in the ICT sector, working with clients in the office or home. It provides a general grounding in basic hardware maintenance and software installation. This is an ideal qualification for learners looking for their first role in the ICT industry or looking for a change in career, or a boost to their skills for carrying out home maintenance on their computers.
- Level 1 (Certificate) is ideal for those looking to develop basic skills and knowledge in Systems Support and PC Maintenance in order to get started in the IT industry or service their own computer.
- Level 2 (Diploma) is for candidates who want to install and support ICT systems, and career progression within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry.
- Level 3 (Advanced Diploma) offers the opportunity for you to learn and demonstrate knowledge and skills you have developed for a specific area of ICT, such as database development, website design, IT product development, and network planning and installation.
Assessment
For each of the qualifications, you will complete a number of practical assignments and on-line knowledge tests.
